That's also effects their families as Well as Country's Economic Slowdown. The Indian education system has long focused more on marks and degrees than on real skills. From an early age, students are trained to memorize textbooks, reproduce answers in exams, and compete for ranks. This Old School Orthodox Style Reduces Creativity, Communication skills, Practical Learning & Problem Solving Skills Which are very Necessary Requirement For Job's Market.
What was the root behind the failure of Indian Education System?
The Indian education system has failed to produce skilled and independent thinkers mainly because it focuses more on marks than on learning. The Schools & Colleges doesn't given Importance to Practical Level Skills which is Necessary for Today's Job Market. School Only Focusing Memorisation textbooks rather than Understanding Concepts So they Was not been Develop to Solve Complex Problems.
There Major Reason for Downfall Indian Education System is Outdated Syllabus. So Many Subjects are Taught In School that have little connection with real-world applications or current industry needs. That's the reason Students Graduate they hold the degree bt lacks to gain the Job & Practical Learning.
One More Reason is Teaching Method is also a poor Classrooms are mostly Teacher-Centered, where students are expected to listen quietly rather than ask questions or think critically. This Creates Students lose Interest quickly they feel discourage demotivating.
Examination Pressure also Play's the Important Role. Students Ability Only Measures on the Basis Of Good Marks if they fail they label as a Weak Student. Schools Can't see their Potential, Skills, Talents, Interests. Which Impact Negative in Students they feel Extreme Pressure Sometimes They take Wrong Steps like Suicide etc. Students are forced into streams chosen by parents or society, leading to frustration, stress, and lack of motivation.
How to Improve the Indian Education System
To improve the Indian education system, the focus must shift from marks to meaningful learning. Education should encourage understanding, creativity, and critical thinking rather than rote memorization.
The curriculum needs regular updates to match real-world needs. Practical knowledge, life skills, financial literacy, digital skills, and problem-solving should be included along with theoretical subjects.
Teaching Style Also Should be Change. Teachers not force Students to Select Those Subjects Which they are not interested and Cheerup motivate to select which they are willing to pursue. Teaching methods must change. Classrooms should be student-centered, where questioning, discussion, and independent thinking are encouraged.
